What are the principles of CNC stainless steel part machining?

Stainless steel part machining is a type of machining, and therefore shares some similarities with general machining process planning. The following principles should generally be followed when arranging the machining sequence for stainless steel part machining and machining:

  1. The previous process must not affect the positioning and clamping of the next process.
  2. Processes using the same equipment or the same tool should be performed consecutively to minimize errors caused by repositioning or tool changes.
  3. Within the same machine, processes with the least impact on workpiece rigidity should be performed first to ensure that the workpiece is machined under satisfactory rigidity conditions.

These principles apply not only to stainless steel part machining but also to general machining. Table 1 also lists other principles that should be considered when determining machining processes based on the characteristics of stainless steel part machining processes.

Principles for Determining Machining Paths

① Ensure workpiece accuracy and surface finish
② Short machining paths and minimize idle travel
③ Minimize numerical calculation workload
④ Fully utilize command functions and simplify machining procedures
